About us

Based at the University of Hertfordshire’s de Havilland Sports Village in Hatfield, WGC Hockey Club have great facilities. A new astroturf pitch, changing facilities, bar and restaurant make for highly enjoyable hockey.
We’re all about winning leagues, developing players and enjoying our hockey at the same time. The club has a buzzing social life with regular events such as dinner dances and the much anticipated presentation evening.

WGC Hockey Club are happy to welcome everybody to become a member. We have teams catering for all standards for both men and women. We also have a very strong youth squad.

Training times

We train at the De Havilland Sports Village every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm. Training commences in mid August and ends in March.

Leagues

We compete in the East Hockey League and the Five Counties Women’s Hockey League with scheduled friendlies and matches from September to March. We also enter local Summer Leagues.
